Sugar Sand Park is a park of 132 acres in Boca Raton, which delighted many visitors of all ages. The various programs offered here to create an experience of a day that is fun, exciting and educational.

Park awards

Sugar Sand Park has a community center, theater, science exhibits and many opportunities for hands-on learning. There are special events, nature activities and more. Several awards were presented on the park to be a family destination pending. Just to name a few, the park has won Parenting Magazine Kids Crown Award for 2007, the Best 2007 Award for Best Parks in 2006 Bronze Award for the best artistic performance activity and the Bronze Award for best local attraction.

Programs for youth and adults

Some programs Sugar Sand Park Community Center include youth programs such as drawing, Kindermusik, the pretend play, storytelling, arts and crafts film presentations, and other activities. During holidays, children can make gingerbread houses and see a holiday magic show. Adult programs include learning to write for children, from art and watercolor, guitar, photography and film classics. The park also hosts a "Meet the Artist" series, in which the artistic creations are displayed alongside the artists who created them. The artist explains the details and inspiration for creation.

The Field House

The Field House at Sugar Sand Park Boca Raton is a gymnasium with prominent sports programs for children and adults of all ages. The Field House offers special events throughout the year and is open to the public for play basketball and volleyball pick-up. Other field programs are home basketball leagues for adults, children and youth football, hockey, cheerleading, basketball, gymnastics and fencing. The center also includes a program for young children called Kidokinetics, incorporating a wide range of sporting activities over Frisbee, obstacle courses, hula-hoops and more.

Exploring Nature

Sugar Sand Park also has some of the resources most beautiful natural sites anywhere in Boca Raton. The nature trails at Sugar Sand Park include sand pine and Slash Pine Trail, winding through the Florida pine Flatwoods stunted. Each trail offers beautiful Boca Raton at its best.

The park has other attractions to lure families for the day. There is a science with Explorium hands on the game, plus a playground for science. The park's carousel was thirty Dentzel Horsell decorated for children to ride. Finally, the park offers pavilions for families to gather and enjoy the park together.
