Mens Gymnastics Beijing

Mens Gymnastics BeijingThe honey used in the Beijing Olympics 2008?

After looking all around final of the mens gymnastics, I keep seeing bottles of honey in the vicinity of each station powder? What is the purpose of it with the powder?

Gymnasts use honey or sugar water "on the parallel bars to help them handle the elements as they swing through the bars (commonly known as giant powers).

Gymnasts normally using chalk (as they do on other events), but for athletes who do a lot of these elements underswinging parallel bars, they also use honey. They chalk the bars really well before their routine, then use a little honey on your hands, allowing them to get a better grip on the hanging swing for movements below the bars.

Most gymnasts are secretly bees and they like to take a quick snack before the competition.

My best estimate is that it is a quick sugar intake and healthy, like eating a chocolate bar except your body will not crash to eat honey, and you are not filled with eat either.

This is not honey - tree sap - resin y'all see it as a powder and chalk - used to help capture the bars
