Have you ever participated in programs of Special Olympics as an athlete .. or as a volunteer to help the athletes? Special Olympics is an international organization created to help people with intellectual disabilities develop self-confidence and social skills through sports training and competition. Among their other activities, organizes the Special Olympics World Games Special Olympics every four years. I worked as an umpire and volleyball referee in chief for over 25 years in local and state levels. I was at 2 World Games in North Carolina and Ireland and the Games and nationally. I went to North Carolina and played volleyball I was just woundering is there any pictures on the net from there lol Thank Flag Join more than 700,000 Special Olympics volunteers throughout the world by contacting your local program. Special Olympics would not exist today - and could not be created - without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of its volunteers. As an organization of basic, Special Olympics relies on volunteers at all levels of the movement to ensure that every athlete is offered a quality sports training and competition experience. Not at all! but my brother has it cerebilpausey (probally spelled wrong)! :) And it was soo much fun, he wants to come back every year I've never seen anything NOT put his trust like that:) When I worked at the sports center of our local junior college we had the basketball team of Special Olympics in practice and hold tournaments.
