Resort in Indio, California attracts families The Coachella Valley is a popular vacation spot for families. Palm Springs and neighboring cities are the perfect antidote to the life of large congested cities.
The towns of the valley have made good use of irrigation water in pipes to transform the harsh environment of desert into a cornucopia of luxury resorts, golf courses, about 120 at last count "boulevards shops upscale and palm as far as the eye can see. The lawns are carefully supervised by an army of landscapers and a drive through the neighborhoods of places like Palm Desert and Indian Wells is a window on the "good life" enjoyed by well-off retirees and mobile professionals to up.
Yet, never far from these houses and manicured estates, is the first desert "a place where you can finally put space between you and other people, and enjoy what passes for a return to experience nature, although minutes later you probably basking in modern, upscale rooms designed to pamper you from head to foot.
On our recent trip in the desert, we based a few miles east of Palm Springs to Indio, friendly neighborhood, but perhaps less extravagant than other parts of valley. On the east side of the valley Coechella cities, this area is currently undergoing a major transformation with several new housing developments that are modern, spacious houses, alongside the man of the lagoons and canals, all five minutes from the motorway. In this same area a major new resort Resort in Indio was built right in recent years.
There are 453 condo units in all and they are built around a water park full of broadcasters, canals, ponds, pools and even a river by man to an inner tube floating. The larger of the two pools is a huge 5000 square feet. If you're anxious to get some exercise, see backetball court, tennis courts, gymnasium and recreation center. Golfers need not go further than the Terra Lago golf course next to the station.
Given the opportunities for recreation, it is not surprising that the use of Indio is particularly popular with families. During our visit on a weekend of unusually hot spring, family groups, large and small have been fully enjoy swimming pools and other facilities. Families spent hours on the poolside deck spacious. Come lunch, lots of walking distance to their condo units and start the barbecue available on their decks and patios. As expected, the rooms are really vacation rentals, not hotel rooms "Each unit comes with a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, living and dining room. Since the resort is almost brand new, everything is in perfect condition with the latest equipment, and color? R.
As tempting as it was simply lounging by the pool all weekend, we wanted to get out and experience the desert. With daytime temperatures reaching the mid-90's, we left early in the morning when times were more in the mid 70s to mid-80's. Our goal was the Pinkham Canyon Trail in Joshua Tree National Park, just 20 minutes from the station. Our activity in the desert: geocaching.
For those who are not yet enlightened, geocaching is a relatively new activity in which you use your handheld GPS to find caches or jewelry boxes hidden in different places. There may be hiding in remote areas or in developed areas, or even in amusement parks such as Legoland near San Diego. What is really a sort of Easter egg hunt for children and adults, and what we found is great family activity.
